SCGREEN Global Certification Program in the Supply Chain

With the price of oil expected to rise further in the coming years it is important for the industry to find ways to reduce its impact on the environment. In fact, the increase in the price of oil may speed up the development of cleaner and more fuel efficient ways of doing business. Early adapters and innovators within the industry will be able to use sustainability programs to reduce energy related costs. SCGREEN Global Certification Program is an industry initiative developed by Europhia Consulting to create a global carbon emission measurement standard and certification program related to environmental sustainability within the transportation and logistics industry globally.

Europhia Consulting is leading a growing consortium of international supply chain consulting companies to implement a green logistics program to assist logistics companies to measure their carbon footprint in a consistent manner and benchmark themselves against a central industry yardstick. The program consists of four steps: SCAN - MEASURE - IMPLEMENT - CERTIFY.

The uniqueness of this program is that it not only helps companies understand their carbon emission levels and implement actions to reduce the levels, it also links to ISO certification standards so that companies develop a discipline to sustain their activities in reducing carbon emission levels.

Consultant Certification Program

Logistics and supply chain consultants are invited to be part of SCGreen Program, where they will undergo a training program and receive the industry-recognised SCGreen Consultant certification. Certified members have exclusive access to measurement and optimisation tools which they can deploy as part of their consulting practice. They would also be part of a dynamic and rapidly growing consultant network where knowledge and best practices are shared.
