Objective

Europhia Consulting BV has developed a trade mission concept around its SCExecutive Forum program to support Dutch companies. This includes Matchmaking and networking activities in combination with knowledge themes related to the logistics and supply chain industry, based on the SCExecutive industry reach and network.

SCExecutive Trade Mission Concept - 2010/2011

Europhia Consulting has established a Trade Mission Concept through its networking and knowledge platform SCExecutive. The SCExecutive Trade Mission Concept has been established to ensure that logistics and supply chain companies are able to participate in fact finding and networking missions to selected countries. The primary objective is to establish business networking opportunities and develop business with local companies and industry organisations.

Europhia Consulting, as the trade mission organiser, has a strong global network of industry contacts and supply chain knowledge. It has demonstrated results in the areas of managing large network sessions, workshops and training programs to connect people and organisations.

The trade missions will receive support from Europhia Consulting’s contacts with local industry organisations, trade development boards and business partners. This will include a half-day workshop on opportunities to set up operations and/or business development opportunities in conjunction with the local trade development organisation and/or key industry association(s).

Upcoming Trade Mission:

The Trade Mission will include the following elements:

  • A pre-mission meeting with all participants to receive a fact finding presentation of the program and information about the host country in terms of economy, business environment and the logistics/supply chain sector.

  • Group and individual Matchmaking activities to suit individual member requirements.

  • A one day networking SCExecutive workshop based on a supply chain/ logistics knowledge theme, around which the Matchmaking concept is organised. This will include breakout sessions, Matchmaking meetings, networking lunch and dinner. The industry speakers will be from both the participating companies and the host country.

  • Site visits to various key organisations, companies, logistics infrastructure projects to get a first-hand understanding and appreciation of the local industry, developments, innovation and educational partners.

  • Participation at the local Trade Fair related to the Logistics Industry. This will include a trade stand representing all participating members and the ability to invite, meet and network with people/contacts at the stand and/or Fair.

  • A minimum of 5 individual Matchmaking meetings are set up in close consultation with each participating company to ensure that one on one discussions can take place to introduce your company’s service offering and discuss business opportunities with key points of contact.

  • A cultural evening program to include a dinner and presentation on cultural aspects in doing business in the host country.

  • A post-mission meeting to discuss key outcomes against the objectives set.

Europhia Consulting BV - The Organiser

Europhia Consulting BV is based in the Netherlands and has a strong networking and knowledge background within the international logistics and supply chain industry. The company has offices and partners in the following countries and regions:

Matchmaking Participants – Selection Criteria

To take part in one of our 2010 SCExecutive Trade Missions, participants must be ready and able to take an active role in developing their business in the host country. We will select mission participants based on a range of selection criteria related to services/products offered in relation to the knowledge theme, degree of complementing services in relation to other participants in terms of services/products offered, the ability to export the company’s business to new countries, level of expertise and quality offered including the ability to offer after sales support in the host country.

Your Commitment

Apart from the selection criteria involved in becoming a member of the SCExecutive Trade Mission, the CPA program requires your company to only pay for your own travel and accommodation expenses and contribute 500 to the program as your company’s commitment.

Profile of Potential Participants:

  • Technology solutions providers (example: WMS, TMS, ERP, sector specific solutions).

  • Warehouse and Storage solutions providers (example: Warehouse infrastructure, cold storage).

  • Material Handling and Conveyor Belt systems for logistics and manufacturing environments.

  • Transportation equipment providers including trucks, trailers, containers

  • Consultants providing expertise in inventory optimisation, network optimisation, transport routing, specific sector expertise, project expertise.

  • Manufacturing companies with internationalisation plans either to distribute to new markets, or to source for new suppliers and/or contract manufacturers.

  • Logistics companies to expand regional/international presence and/or transport network either by setting up their own branch offices or linking up with agents.

  • Training Institutes and/or Universities looking to set up an affiliate program and/or collaborate on research and student exchange
